"The Azerbaijani army prevents provocations of the enemy in various directions of the frontline," said assistant to the Azerbaijani President, head of the Foreign Policy Issues Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at a briefing today. 

According to him, the support of the international community in the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity is the result of the activity Azerbaijan has been carrying out in its foreign policy.

The assistant to the President noted that Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev continues consistent measures for the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity: "Today, provocations are carried out by the Armenians, the Azerbaijani army prevents provocations in various directions of the frontline."

Touching upon the usage of white phosphorus, H.Hajiyev said that this is against the international conventions Armenia has joined, and Armenia has obligations about not using such weapons. According to him, Armenia might damage other civil facilities by using white phosphorus. Therefore, the international community should condemn this. 

He added that although white phosphorus is not considered a chemical weapon, it is quite harmful for people.

The assistant to the President highlighted that international media represnetatives face threats by the Armenian lobby when they objectively cover events in their reportages: "We cleary observe and see this, we harshly condemn it. Threatening journalists is unacceptable, and we call on the international community to prevent such actions of the Armenian lobby."
