Simultaneously with presidential elections, another referendum on NATO membership and parliamentary elections started in Georgia on Saturday.
The referendum is nonbonding and it is left to the government to interpret its results.
Georgians should decide whether they want their country to join NATO and parliamentary elections to be held this spring.
The referendum requires participation of fifty percent of the country`s population to be considered valid.
